WORKSHOP
NOVEMBER 2017, THE SPOT
Are you an artist, performer, crafter, comedian, figure skater, musician, writer, builder or maker in the Fergus Falls area? Do you have a creative idea for making Fergus Falls a more fun place to be for all ages?
The Department of Public Perks (artist-organizers Jake Krohn, Molly Johnston, and Mary Welcome) along with Springboard for the Arts hosted a community workshop about citizen-led projects that can inspire play for all ages and abilities in Fergus Falls.
We investigated and discussed how art and culture can be used to inspire play, and built on creative placemaking and leadership skills. After attending this workshop, artists were eligible to request up to $500 in project support for their own Year of Play project.
